We have the larger breed of wellsummer. However, our wide variety of rare and special breed chickens need to be in runs to protect them from foxes and to ensure their breeding purity.

We provide a good size chicken house with a run attached, which are then moved around the grounds so that the chickens can eat fresh grass along with their Layers pellets and the occasional mixed corn.

My husband Alan has made a few chicken houses and their runs which cuts the cost down considerably. This is an example of his wonderful chicken coup.
